Gauthami’s Hope – From household chores to classroom dreams

Haunted by the devastating memory of her mother's suicide, a consequence of her father's abuse, and later his passing, young Gauthami's life took a harsh turn, forcing her to shoulder household responsibilities from the tender age of nine. Arriving at Aarti Village, she carried deep emotional scars that manifested as a lack of confidence and significant learning difficulties, leaving her withdrawn and seemingly numb. Now at Aarti, while aiming to complete her schooling, Gauthami finds solace and a growing passion in the creative outlet of embroidery, hinting at a potential path towards independence and healing. Aarti Home offers her a much-needed sanctuary, providing a supportive environment and a chance to heal from her traumatic experiences, slowly nurturing her confidence and opening doors to opportunities she was previously denied.
