Most issues surrounding gender equality are the result of ignorance of laws and rights, and what is the right way of being. As we move into the fourth decade of our work, we see awareness as the key driver of change. Lasting change can be brought about if we can positively impact the way men think about women and women think about themselves. We provide knowledge and information to fight these issues through family counseling, awareness camps for health and legal rights, and campaigns against eve-teasing, dowry and domestic violence. We also believe that the future lies in what the next generation holds as its value system. Hence, we conduct numerous programs in schools and colleges to educate them regarding gender discrimination issues.
Our volunteers visit the site, rescue the victim and provide a way forward through various allied agencies. We also train the allied systems on new acts, implementation and enforcement (JJ Act stakeholders, ICDS, Police, Revenue, CWC).
